Countless neglected and unwanted animals are abandoned at shelters in counties across Michigan every day. According to a report filed by the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, an average of 140,000 animals are brought to animal shelters scattered across Michigan yearly.
Michigan Humane Society is an organization whose mission recognizes animal neglect to be a prevalent issue in our community and is dedicated to using its resources to address animal welfare issues in the state.
